Marta, co-founder of Bebe Concept, a beautiful multi-brand store in Poland with a carefully curated selection of labels such as The New Society, traveled to Sweden this summer with her family in search of something very specific: nature, silence, and places far from the crowds. With her children, Thaddeus and Wanda, and the dog Ozzy, the plan was simple: spend time together, discover new places, and enjoy the essentials.
Throughout the trip they lived many adventures, and almost all of them felt very special. What mattered most, however, was actually the simplest thing: spending so much time in nature, surrounded by very few people, and being able to enjoy every moment together as a family.
That, as Marta says, was “simply beautiful”.

WHAT TO DO: Ferry trip from Grisslehamn to Åland
A one-day adventure that’s worth planning. From Grisslehamn you can take the ferry to Åland and explore the island by bike. For families, it’s the perfect mix of a mini sea journey and an active day outdoors.
WHAT TO DO: Explore Mölle
This little coastal town quickly became one of Marta’s favorite stops. The sunsets here are breathtaking — one of those moments where you just have to pause. From Mölle, you can also take a boat trip to try and spot whales, an experience that makes the visit even more special.

WHAT TO DO: Walks at Hjälstaviken Nature Reserve
A beautiful spot for an easy family walk. The landscape is peaceful, and along the way you’ll come across cows and wild birds. Marta recommends bringing binoculars — the kids loved spotting different species and it made the whole walk more fun.
WHAT TO DO: Valdemarsvik
Located on the east coast by the Baltic Sea, Valdemarsvik was one of the most peaceful places they visited. It’s perfect if you’re looking to slow down and spend time outdoors. For Marta and her family, it also became the ideal place to try stand-up paddle.

WHERE TO STAY: Valdemarsvik
In the most remote part of their trip near Torsby, Marta and her family stayed in a glamping site surrounded by nature — simple, quiet, and beautiful. Along the way they also came across Loppises, small vintage shops full of hidden treasures.

WHERE TO EAT: Högsjö Wärdshus (Arboga)
A charming roadside restaurant that feels just like home. The walls are filled with old family photos, the hosts are warm and welcoming, and it’s the perfect spot for a cozy pit stop.

WHERE TO EAT: Töllås Fårgård Sommarcafé (Henån, North Sea Archipelago)
A lovely place for a light lunch or just a coffee. Simple, relaxed, and surrounded by nature — the kind of spot that invites you to slow down.

In the end, what Sweden left them with was more than beautiful landscapes. It was a reminder that life doesn’t need to be complicated to feel full. A country that, quietly, teaches you to breathe a little deeper and move a little slower.

BEBE CONCEPT - Marta’s Business
Marta is the co-founder of Bebe Concept, a multi-brand family store in Poland that she created seven years ago together with her sister Olga. What started spontaneously, just after both had their babies, quickly became something much bigger.

The idea was simple but fresh: a carefully curated space for mothers and children, focused on quality, sustainable brands, and beautiful design. At that time, it was still very unusual in Poland — but Marta and Olga trusted their instinct. Soon, Bebe Concept became a reference point for families who were also looking for something better and more conscious.
This is also how their path crossed with The New Society. Marta first ordered the clothes for her own kids, and immediately loved them: beautiful, comfortable, and easy to mix and match. It felt natural to add the brand to Bebe Concept’s selection.

For Marta, Sweden was more than a family trip — it was a pause, a reminder of how beautiful life feels when it’s simple and unhurried. And maybe that’s also the takeaway for us as readers: to look for those quiet places, to spend time outdoors, to value what really matters.
