Have you always wanted to be an actress?
I think it's always been a part of who I am. I can't remember a time where I didn't feel drawn into the world of acting and performing, but I think the choice to actively pursue this career came once I graduated high school.
How did it all start for you in this world?
Every beginning is hard. Not only did I enter an entire new world , I also moved to the other side of the globe to do so. It takes patience and time to built something from scratch, but I think I can be proud of where I am today.
Your best character until now?
It's tough to only pick one because you put part of yourself in each character.
Lauren, my first lead role in the multiple award winning short ‘Here lies Lauren’ will always hold a special place in my heart.
What does an actress do to keep herself busy when the entire industry is shut down?
The beauty of this job is that you set your own limits. You seize opportunities and find ways to stay creatively active. Which I did, I shot a few commercials, wrote a couple of scripts and filmed them with friends.
I'm currently writing a feature and the best part is, whilst doing this you can keep growing and learning.
Who would you like to work with in the future?
Well, if any of the following stars are free in the upcoming months: Christopher Nolan, Marion Cotillard, Daphne Keen, Koen De Bouw, Sigourney Weaver, Omar Sy and Saoirse Ronan. No idea what story we would tell, but I'm available!
If you weren't an actress and producer, what do you think you would do?
To be honest I'm not sure what I'd be doing. This feels like the right industry for me so I can't imagine myself anywhere else doing anything else. The most likely thing would be me traveling the world doing humanitarian work.
